In 1984, MCI began building recording consoles for Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida. The JH-636 was a follow up to the JH-400 and JH-500 consoles. Criteria Studios was famous for recording "Hotel California" (The Eagles), Leonard Skinner, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, ABBA, Black Sabbath, Jay-Z, Bob Marley, Shakira, Julio Iglesias and countless others. No matter the decade or genre, Criteria has continued to produce gold, platinum and diamond records. We are lucky enough to have gotten our console that once belonged to country artist Willy Nelson from his private recording studio.
Our Studio A has this console sitting sidecar to our large format analog console. Primarily is being used as a control surface for our ProTools HD3 Excel System.
Among the rather large collection of vintage as well as state-of-the-art outboard signal processors, we are lucky to have two 8 channel tube mixers from the late 1950's which we like to run drums through.
Our Studio B is equipped with a Digidesign Control 24 console which makes editing and mixing a breeze controlling every aspect of our studio B's ProTools HD3 Excel system.
